                                                NAACP RACISM

As you read the following NAACP RESOLUTIONS you might like to consider the following:

RACISM - A hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.
                               The Random House College Dictionary

Sadly speaking, when it comes to the Confederate heritage issue, there are basically 3 types of people.
Those that are too dumb to read a book, those that are too ignorant to change their opinion when presented with the facts (historical documentation), and those that use that ignorance to manipulate others to hate others.

"THERE IS NO GREATER FORM OF RACISM THAN RACISM BASED
                           ON
IGNORANCE AND DECEIT "

QUESTIONS FOR THE NAACP ???
1. Where is the diversity you want for yourself, for other peoples ?
2. Where is the respect you  want for yourself, for other peoples ?
3. What about Dr, Martin Luther Kings wish for black and white peoples ?
4. Why would you intentionally teach your race, to hate another race ?
5. And where in the blazes do you get your history ???
6. Is it just a white thing ? Anything you perceive to be a "white thing" - you just can't stand it?

The 1991 N.A.A.C.P. Confederate Flag Resolution
Resolution Abhorring the Confederate Battle Flag
                                                           Approved.

Whereas, the tyrannical evil symbolized in the Confederate Battle Flag is an abhorrence to all Americans and decent people of this country, and indeed, the world and is an odious blight upon the universe; and,
         NAACP  R A C I S T  R A M B L I N G S
Whereas, African-Americans, had no voice, no consultation, no concurrence, no commonality, not in fact nor in philosophy, in the vile conception of the Confederate Battle Flag or State Flags containing the ugly symbol of idiotic white supremacy racism and denigration; and,

Whereas, we adamantly reject the notion that African-Americans should accept this flag for any stretch of imagination or approve its presence on the State Flags;

Now Therefore Be It Resolved, that the National Office of the NAACP and all units commit their legal resources to the removal of the Confederate Flag from all public properties.

                               1999 N.A.A.C.P.Emergency Resolution

                        ECONOMIC SANCTIONS FOR SOUTH CAROLINA
July 12, 1999

Whereas, the Confederate States of America came into being by way of secession from and war against the United States of America out of a desire to defend the right of individual states to maintain an economic system based on slave labor, and
F A L S E  C L A I M

Whereas, the Confederate Battle Flag was raised in the States that comprised the defunct Confederate States of America for the supposed celebration of the Centennial of the War Between the States and as an unspoken symbol of resistance to the battle for civil rights and equality in the early 1960's, and
F A L S E  C L A I M

Whereas, the Confederate Battle Flag has been embraced as the primary symbol for the numerous modern-day groups advocating white supremacy, and
ANYONE CAN FLY ANY FLAG ANYWHERE - (AMERICAN CONSTITUTIONAL LAW)  HATE GROUPS HAVE USED BOTH THE U.S. & C.S. FLAGS.
*ANY LEGITIMATE ORGANIZATION DOES NOT APPRECIATE IMPROPER USE OF EITHER FLAG.  SUCH USE IS A DESECRATION TO THE IDEALS BOTH FLAGS WERE FOUNDED.

Whereas, the placement of the Confederate Battle Flag at the South Carolina State House with the flags of two existing governments, the United States of America and the state of South Carolina, implies sovereignty and allegiance to a non-existent nation, and
F A L S E  C L A I M

Whereas, the Confederate Battle Flag in its present position of display makes a statement of public policy that continues to be an affront to the sensibilities and dignity of a majority of African Americans in the state of South Carolina, and
F A L S E  C L A I M - Honorers The Centennial of the war and the Confederate Soldier, not slavery or racism - the latter a claim that is getting very, very, old hat. *The Confederate heritage is only diliked by the NAACP, and those the NAACP has improperly influenced by misleading historical aspects of the heritage such as not recognizing the black Confederate soldier, the war was fought for the issue of slavery, etc.

Whereas, the state of South Carolina possesses a unique linkage of heritage and family which makes South Carolina a prime destination for African American family reunions, resulting in tourism dollars that benefit the state of South Carolina, an estimated sixty-eight percent (68%) of all African American family reunions are held in South Carolina, and STATISTICS SUBJECT TO SCRUTINY, 68% IS A VERY LARGE #.

Whereas, dollars spent on tourism, conventions and meetings by African Americans, other people of conscience and corporate entities serve to enrich the state of South Carolina, the "Mother State of Secession", which continues to fly the banner of secession Now Be It Therefore Resolved, that the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People at its 1999 Annual Convention reaffirms its condemnation of the Confederate Battle Flag being flown over the South Carolina State Capitol and displayed within the South Carolina House and Senate Chambers, and renews its call for the removal and relocation of the Confederate Battle Flag to a place of historical rather than sovereign context.

Although the flag has been removed from the dome and placed in "historical context" on State House grounds - the NAACP still calls for the flag to be moved again, amid continued attempts to boycott  S.C.  If moved from the Confederate Soldiers Monument to the State Museum, then the argument will be the museum is funded wtih tax payers money, and the museum must be closed down. Case in point, the Confederate Museum in Bosier City, LA.

Be It Further Resolved, that all units of the NAACP shall join in the South Carolina Conference of Branches in urging all families planning reunions in South Carolina to consider locations outside of the States as reunion sites until such time that the Confederate Battle Flag is removed from positions of sovereignty in the state of South Carolina.

Be It Further Resolved, that the National NAACP shall call upon other African American National Organizations, churches, and faith groups, businesses and corporations, and similar national entities of other cultural compositions that embrace freedom and justice to consider locations other than the state of South Carolina as convention or meeting sites, until such time that the Confederate Battle Flag is removed from positions of sovereignty in the state of South Carolina.
Tourism in S.C. has continued to increase annually despite the NAACP Boycott. Tourists seem pleased the racist bigots arnen't in the State.

Be It Finally Resolved, that the National NAACP shall apply these economic sanctions against the state of South Carolina as well as any further measures as appropriate, commencing January 1, 2000, until such time that the Confederate Battle Flag is no longer displayed in positions of sovereignty in the state of South Carolina.

THE LIE PROMOTED BY THE NAACP WITH MEDIA HELP THAT THE FLAG WAS RAISED  IN THE EARLY 1960'S AT SOUTHERN CAPITOLS  "for the supposed celebration of the Centennial of the War Between the States" -
(See NAACP RESOLUTIONS below)
THE TRUTH...Investigated by the media; no claims of racism have been ever been discovered in placing the Confederate flag on the S.C. dome, or in the flags of states that incorporate the Confederate flag in their state flag. The flag was raised to honor the CIVIL WAR CENTENNIAL PROCLAMATION, a 4 year Centennial, on the 100th Anniversary of the War Between the States.

CIVIL WAR CENTENNIAL PROCLAMATION No. 3882

BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

                                    A PROCLAMATION

The years 1961 - 1965 will mark the one hundredth anniversary of the American Civil War.
That war was America's most tragic experience. But like all truly great tragedies, it carries with it an enduring lesson and a profound inspiration. It was a demonstration of heroism and sacrifice by men and women of both sides, who valued principle above life itself and whose devotion to duty is a proud part of our national inheritance.
Both sections of our magnificently reunited country sent into their armies men who became soldiers as good as any who ever fought under any flag. Military history records nothing finer than the courage and spirit displayed at such battles as Chickamauga, Antietam, Kenesaw Mountain and Gettysburg. That America could produce men so valiant and so enduring is a matter for deep and abiding pride.
The same spirit on the part of the people back home supported those soldiers through four years of great trial. That a Nation which contained hardly more than 30 million people, North and South together, could sustain 600,000 deaths without faltering is a lasting testimonial to something unconquerable in the American spirit. And that a transcending sense of unity and larger common purpose could, in the end, cause the men and women who had suffered so greatly to close ranks once the contest ended and to go on together to build a greater, freer and happier America must be a source of inspiration as long as our country may last.
By a joint resolution approved on September 7, 1957, the Congress established the Civil War Centennial Commission to coordinate the nationwide observances of the one hundredth anniversary of the Civil War. This resolution authorized and requested the President to issue proclamations inviting the people of the United States to participate in those observances.
NOW THEREFORE, I, DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER, President of the United States of America, do hereby invite all of the people of our country to take a direct and active part in the Centennial of the Civil War.
I request all units and agencies of government, Federal, State and local, and their officials, to encourage, foster and participate in Centennial observances. And I especially urge our Nation's schools and colleges, its libraries and museums, its churches and religious bodies, its civic, service and patriotic organizations, its learned and professional societies, its arts, sciences and industries, and its informational media, to plan and carry out their own appropriate Centennial observances during the years 1961 to 1965; all to the end of enriching our knowledge and appreciation of this great chapter in our Nation's history and of making this memorable period truly a Centennial for all Americans.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the United States of America to be affixed.
DONE at the City of Washington this 6th day of December in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred and sixty, and of the Independence of the United States of America the one hundred and eighty-fourth.

By the President:
Dwight D. Eisenhower

*Undeniable PROOF the Confederate flag was placed at Southern capitols honoring the 4 year, 100th Anniversary
of the Centennial, not  "as an unspoken symbol of resistance to the battle for Civil Rights and equality in the early 1960's"  ( See: NAACP Resolutions )

 COMMENTARY

The 1991 NAACP Confederate Flag Resolution - (Resolution Abhorring  The Confederate Battle Flag), and the 1999 NAACP Emergency Resolution (Economic Sanctions Against South Carolina) is quite similar a Reverend Jeremiah Wright sermon of extreme racism and bigotry.

These documents can rightly be said to be the instigator of all recent attempts to suppress public displays of  Confederate Memory, at southern capitols, in school systems, at county court houses, and else where.

In spite of the blatantly bigoted and inflammatory rhetoric of these documents, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), a supposed "civil rights" organization dedicated to "tolerance" and "diversity", continues to act upon these documents, continuing to boycott the State of South Carolina in an attempt to remove the Confederate Monument on State House grounds
that the S.C. Black Legislative Caucus agreed to in the "2000 Confederate Heritage Compromise") with State legislators, and the Son's of Confederate Veterans (SCV).

In spite of an apparent "victory" in the light of the "compromise" relocation of the Confederate Battle Flag from the dome of the South Carolina State House to the Confederate Soldier's Monument on the capitol grounds, these  resolutions were not rescinded by the NAACP, and the NAACP has continued to demand a further relocation (or removal) of the flag, by promoting a boycott of South Carolina.

Please note that in spite of (or perhaps on account of) these continued "sanctions", tourism in South Carolina has continued to increase yearly, and has never had any real apparent effect on the tourism industry - with exception to the NAACP and South Carolina media 1992 - 2000 promoting the boycott as having a  "devastating  effect "  on South Carolina tourism.

We do not recognize the NAACP claim that all Black people in the State of South Carolina are offended by the Confederate flag, nor do we feel the heritage is a black and white issue, except within the minds of the NAACP - an obviously racist and bigoted organization.

With the truth known to the Black citizens of the State of South Carolina, we feel that in all honesty, the majority of Black citizens will not condone the racism found in the NAACP documents; and will not agree with the NAACP that the flag was placed on the dome in defiance of civil rights,  and hatred.

AND FURTHER do not feel the Black citizens of the State would be offended by the heritage when they realize Black Confederate Ancestry, Black Slave Owners, and Black Slave Traders from Africa, are indeed all a part of our common Southern history.

Because the citizens of the State of South Carolina were not informed of all the circumstances involved in the flag and heritage issue at the time the legislators took it upon themselves to vote the flag down, and denied the people of the State the vote;  and because we do not recognize the NAACP claim the flag is a racist symbol - WE DEMAND A VOTE ON THE ISSUE BY THE CITIZENS of the State of South Carolina.

The NAACP and MEDIA have lied and misled the people to believe the flag was raised at Southern capitols as a racist gesture toward black people, rather then the true purpose of honoring the 4 year Centennial on the 100th anniversary of the Centennial.
