WE'RE BACK !!!
NOTICE:
This page contains current arguments promoted by the NAACP and the MEDIA against the Confederate flag flying on the South Carolina dome, and now at the Confederate Soldiers Monument in front of the State House.
*This page will be continually updated with arguments provided against the Confederate flag.
A PEOPLES ISSUE – If 80% of the citizens of the State of S.C. voted to keep the flag on the dome in the referendum – the flag should fly on the dome.
A VETERANS ISSUE – The Confederate flag is not just a flag. It represents 300,000 veterans the State called upon and paid by Southern blood. This flag is not to be regulated to a museum, and woe to any legislator that says otherwise.
A RACIAL ISSUE- NAACP HATE BILL http://www.scstatehouse.gov/sess117_2007-2008/bills/3588.htm
The NAACP new 'HATE BILL' H-3588....is motivated by hatred. The NAAP is acclimating a new, younger generation that is is publicly permissible to hate the Confederate heritage SC citizens and they do it openly in the legislature.
A EDUCATIONAL ISSUE– Confederate heritage history classes are not taught in public school systems by complaints of racial extremists, which then enables an unjustified racism to be exploited by racial extremists – Dismantle this racism through public education.
A NAACP ISSUE - Our fight for the heritage is not with the black peoples of the State, it is with the NAACP.
CONFEDERATE FLAG ISSUES
MYTHS…LIES…& FALSEHOODS OF THE CONFEDERACY
There are…an abundance of myths, lies, and falsehoods, surrounding the history of the Confederacy.
There is an educational void in this area, since teaching anything in regard to the Confederate heritage is now forbidden due to the racist demands of the NAACP; thus an environment of rampant falsehoods have proliferated exploited primarily by one organization - the NAACP.
Several of the myths are included here. If you know of others, please share them with us for documentation on this page.

WAS THE WAR FOUGHT ON THE ISSUE OF SLAVERY ?
Well, this is an issue that has been discussed since 1865, quite often in heated debate.
Quotes from U.S. President Abraham Lincoln, as well as C.S. President Jefferson Davis can be taken in quantity that suggest the war was not fought on the issue of slavery, as well as the war was fought on the issue of slavery.
The same can be said for a document here and there that indicate the same.
However, incidents related to this war between North and South perhaps complets the question: Was the war fought on the issue of slavery ?
1. Lincoln's Election - Lincoln did not carry a single electoral vote from the entire South. He was viewed as representing the industrialized North, not the agricultural South.
2. The issue of secession was not allowed to enter the court system as Lincon knew that secession IS an American constitutional right. The court system was averted by use of direct military force by Lincoln.
3. With the staged event by Lincoln for the South to fire upon the North, Lincon used the hue and cry for war "The South fired on the North" the first 1 1/2 years of the war - not "We are fighting a war to free the slaves".
4. Any student of Lincoln will quickly realize Lincoln was a racist from our viewpoint today, and had no interest what-so-ever in assisting or freeing the Black peoples from the institution of slavery.
5. Throughout the war and afterwards, Lincoln's Union maintained 5 Northern slave states.
Technically, it was 4 states and one district. Washington D.C. (District of Columbia), Maryland, Delaware, Kentucky, and Missouri.
6. Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation did not free Black people in the Northern States. He applied it only to Southern States where he had no jourisdiction. As a result, no slaves were freed in the North or South at that time.
7. The Emancipation Proclamation to free Black people did not come up till virtually 2 years into the war, and was used by Lincoln primarily for the purpose of being re-elected, not as a humanitarin effort.
8. The Confederate Constitution, a virtual replica of the U.S. Constitution, placed the strongest prohibition against slavery at that time !!!
9. Most all Confederate leaders opposed slavery, and had freed their slaves prior to the war - while many Union leaders and soldiers maintained slaves through the war, and after the war.
There's more ! One can go on and on with evidence the war was not fought on the issue of slavery, as easily as one may contend the war was fought for slavery, although the evidence the war was not fought on the issue of slavery is much more abundant.
The fact that very few Confederate soldiers owned slaves makes it unlikely they were willing to sacrifice their life for the sake of the institution of slavery.
The fact that the Confederate Constitution is virtually identical to the U.S. Constituiton indicates the war on behalf of the South was not a revolution - but a war for the Constitution as founded by American founding fathers - evidenced further by George Washington on the Great Seal of the Confederacy.
The South was invaded by the North, and the Southern cause was Southern Independence and the Constitution - not slavery.
THE PURPOSE OF THE CONFEDERATE ARMY WAS TO EXTERMINATE BLACK PEOPLES JUST LIKE THE NAZI'S DID THE JEWS IN GERMANY.
TEACHING HATE
This statement represents NAACP propaganda against the Confederate flag and heritage when they say “The Confederate flag is as offensive to black people as the Nazi flag is to a Jew”.
In the history of the Confederacy, there was no effort to exterminate black peoples.
Statements such as this build an unjustified racism toward others based on falsehoods. The NAACP lives on memories of the past...often fabricated memories, and teaches one generation to hate another.
THE CONFEDERATE FLAG IS A PAINFUL REMINDER OF SLAVERY !
Black history doesn't seem to be a "painful reminder of slavery". After-all, it was blacks that enslaved blacks and sold them to the traders on the shores of Africa.
Additionally, history tells us there were black slave importers, black slave masters, and black slave owners here from the founding of America.
With a month of black history, one would think someone would have informed the students and others in regard to black on black slavery, but the history of black on black slavery is hidden from the public and students in school systems, which provides the NAACP the opportunity to pack the slavery issue off on white people, (the Southern white man did it all) teaching hate rather than assimilation.
And if an appology is in order or requested, shouldn't those that espouse this racism ask the countries of Africa for an appology first ?
The "painful reminder" is yet another excuse for the NAACP to exploit those ignorant of history to ask for reparations. Reparations is the current movement for the government and white people to pay black people for their ancestors that were once slaves.
Many are unhappy with this idea in that no one today ever owned a slave, and no one today was ever a slave; unless from Africa where slavery continues today.
If these racist blacks are concerned about slavery, why don't they be honest about it, and try to do something for those that remain in African slavery today ???
NAACP: CONFEDERATE FLAG IS "SYMBOL OF EVIL TERRORISM"
Sept. 23, 2008
Rantings of the Rev. William Barber, President of the N.C. NAACP
The following statements were take from an article quoting NAACP President William Barber:
"The Klansmen don't wear white sheets anymore," he said. "They wear three-piece suits and carry briefcases. But they do the same damage that they used to."
Barber said the battle flag is wrong morally "because it supported the evils of slavery."
"We wouldn't allow al-Qaida to fly their flag," he said. "We wouldn't allow the Bloods and the Crips to fly their flag. We wouldn't allow another country to fly its flag. We should not allow that which represents terrorism and secession to be flown."
No, we woudn't allow the groups mentioned to fly the flag at the State House, but the fact of the matter is that the Confederate veteran was called upon by State gogernmentss, and since the flag is historical, it represents honoring the men THE STATE CALLED UPON to defend the State against Northern invasion.
Because the flag is a historical symbol, that is all the more reason to incorporate the flag into the State flag with the historical symbols of the crescent and palm tree. The battle flag would fit in quite appropriately.
NO BLACKS FOUGHT FOR THE CONFEDERACY.
Many historians after the war estimated that more blacks supported the Southern war effort than blacks supporting the Northern war effort. Historical accounts indicate in all probability more blacks supported the Southern war effort.
THE CONFEDERATE ARMY MASSACRED ABOUT 20 BLACK FARMERS TO CONCEAL PRESIDENT JEFFERSON DAVIS ESCAPE ROUTE AT NATIONS FORD ALONG THE CATAWBA RIVER ON THE ROCK HILL S.C SIDE IN SOUTH CAROLINA.
No records or any other possible indication any such incident ever occurred.
THE CONFEDERATE FLAG EVOLVED FROM A RING OF FIRE IN HATRED TOWARD BLACK PEOPLES.
The designs of the Confederate flag were produced by the Confederate Congress void of any form of racism directed to any race. The Confederate flag was simply designed to represent The Confederate States of America.
THE CONFEDERATE FLAG WAS PLACED AT SOUTHERN CAPITOLS AS AN AFFRONT TOWARD BLACK PEOPLES DURING THE CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT.
See "CIVIL WAR CENTENNIAL PROCLAMATION" in the side bar. This is the bold face lie promoted by the NAACP and the Media that helped bring the Confederate flag down in South Carolina in flag fight #1.
THE WAR BETWEEN THE STATES (CIVIL WAR) WAS FOUGHT FOR SLAVERY.
Confederate leaders were opposed to slavery, and the Confederate Constitution placed the strongest prohibition outlawing slavery at the time of war. Article 1, Section 9 – Confederate Constitution.
The Confederacy evolved to defend the South against a Northern invasion by President Abraham Lincoln, when South Carolina seceded from the Union when Lincoln did not carry a single Southern electoral vote out of the entire South. (Lincoln didn't carry a single vote from Virginia to Florida, from South Carolina to Arizoa !!!)
THE WAR WAS FOUGHT FOR SLAVERY.
A simple 6 word statement for the sheeple compared to an intellectual discussion on the subject. For example, consider a discussion on the books President Jefferson Davis and Alexander Stephens who both wrote 2 volumes each concerning the Constitutional issues of the war.
THE CONFEDERATE SOLDIER WAS A TRAITOR, AND IT WAS TREASON AGAINST THE U.S. GOVERNMENT.
The Confederate soldier and the Confederacy fought to preserve the U.S. Constitution as founded by our founding fathers in that State sovereignty was above Federallization of government (States Rights). Proof of this is found in the Confederate Constituion; a virtual duplicate of the U.S. Constiution with very few changes.
Both Constitutions had provisions for slavery, although the Confederate Constituion surprisingly placed the strictest prohibition against slavery at that time.
Under the U.S. Constitution, slavery was to be abolished in 1808, but was not abolished till well after the war, and President Lincoln never freed slaves in Union controlled territory.
President Jefferson Davis could not be tried for treason after the war as "secession" is an American Constitutional right.
Confederate veterans were pardoned after the war.
"WHEREAS, THE TYRANNICAL EVIL SYMBOLIZED IN THE CONFEDERATE BATTLE FLAG IS AN ABHORRENCE TO ALL AMERICANS AND DECENT PEOPLE OF THIS COUNTRY, AND INDEED THE WORLD, AND IS AN ODIOUS BLIGHT UPON THE UNIVERSE; AND..." (1991 NAACP Confederate Flag Resolution Abhorring the Confederate Battle Flag).
The Confederate flag is not viewed as a symbol of tyrannical evil, an abhorrence, or as a symbol of racism, by the majority of peoples in the South and those touring the State, as claimed by the NAACP. Addi tonally, the Confederate flag is used around the world as a symbol of freedom above tyranny of government - precisely what it stood for in the War Between The States (WBTS).
"THE CONFEDERATE STATES OF AMERICA CAME INTO BEING BY WAY OF SECESSION FROM AND WAR AGAINST THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA OUT OF A DESIRE TO DEFEND THE RIGHT OF INDIVIDUAL STATES TO MAINTAIN AN ECONOMIC SYSTEM BASED ON SLAVE LABOR, AND..." ( July 12, 1999 NAACP EMERGENCY RESOLUTION - ECONOMIC SANCTIONS FOR SOUTH CAROLINA). (BOYCOTT)
Most any historians will quickly agree with one another that the War Between The States did not start and was not fought to maintain slavery, or...on the other hand to free slaves.
In fact, surprisingly, the Confederate Constitution itself placed the strongest prohibition against slavery at the time of war !!! The war was instigated by President Abraham Lincoln against a South that had a 30 year rift with the Federal government regarding high tariffs and taxes. Further, the Emancipation Proclamation was issued by President Lincoln virtually 2 years after the war was begun, and not as a humanitarian effort regarding slavery, but as a war measure to prevent England and France from supplying the South...and of course to ensure President Lincoln himself was re-elected. This is fairly common knowledge found in most any history books.
"WHEREAS, THE CONFEDERATE BATTLE FLAG WAS RAISED IN THE STATES THAT COMPRISED THE DEFUNCT CONFEDERATE STATES of AMERICA FOR THE SUPPOSED CELEBRATION OF THE CENTENNIAL OF THE WAR BETWEEN THE STATES AND AS AN UNSPOKEN SYMBOL OF RESISTANCE TO THE BATTLE FOR CIVIL RIGHTS AND EQUALITY IN THE EARLY 1960's, AND...". ( July 12, 1999 NAACP EMERGENCY RESOLUTION - ECONOMIC SANCTIONS FOR SOUTH CAROLINA). (BOYCOTT)
The Confederate flag was raised at Southern capitols throughout the South as a result of the President Dwight D. Eisenhower Civil War Centennial Proclamation asking all states to honor the 100 year Centennial - a 4 year observance. *Investigated by the media, no racism has ever been discovered in any state for placing the Confederate flag at Southern capitols. Simply put, this is a lie promoted by the NAACP, and the media. Only shortly prior to the end of the flag fight in S.C. did the media vaguely ever mention the Civil War Centennial Proclamation. SEE "CIVIL WAR CENTENNIAL PROCLAMATION" in the side bar.
"WHEREAS, THE CONFEDERATE BATTLE FLAG HAS BEEN EMBRACED AS THE PRIMARY SYMBOL FOR THE NUMEROUS MODERN DAY GROUPS ADVOCATING WHITE SUPREMACY,AND..." ( July 12, 1999 NAACP EMERGENCY RESOLUTION - ECONOMIC SANCTIONS FOR SOUTH CAROLINA). (BOYCOTT)Fortunately, and unfortunately, it is an American Constitutional Right for anyone to fly any flag, at any time, and unfortunate that a very small minority have at one time or another abused the use of the Confederate flag as a symbol of white supremacy or racism. The Confederate flag is not viewed or used by the great majority of people as a symbol of racism, but as a symbol of heritage and honor for those ancestors that fought for Southern Independence and the Constitution, against Federalization of government. *By the NAACP argument, if a white supremest was caught chewing Bazooka Bubble Gum, all the people that like Bazooka Bubble Gum should not be allowed to enjoy it !!! (Stupid)
"WHEREAS, THE PLACEMENT OF THE CONFEDERATE BATTLE FLAG AT THE SOUTH CAROLINA STATE HOUSE WITH THE FLAGS OF TWO EXISTING GOVERNMENTS, THE UNITED STATES of AMERICA AND THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA, IMPLIES SOVEREIGNTY AND ALLEGIANCE TO A NON EXISTENT NATION, AND ...( July 12, 1999 NAACP EMERGENCY RESOLUTION - ECONOMIC SANCTIONS FOR SOUTH CAROLINA). (BOYCOTT)
The Confederate flag does not imply sovereignty and allegiance to a non existent nation. The South Carolina State Flag contains the crescent, and palm tree; historical symbols of the State. The Confederate flag should fly at the S.C. dome, or be incorporated in the S.C. State flag as a historical symbol paid by the blood of individuals the State called upon to defend the State against Northern aggression in the war - which is exactly why flag supporters want a vote on the issue. *Perhaps the State of S.C. has forgotten the sacrifice these men made, but the ancestors of those who fought, and other good people, HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN, AND WILL NEVER FORGET.
"WHEREAS, THE CONFEDERATE FLAG IN ITS PRESENT POSITION OF DISPLAY MAKES A STATEMENT OF PUBLIC POLICY THAT CONTINUES TO BE AN AFFRONT TO THE SENSIBILITIES AND DIGNITY OF A MAJORITY OF AFRICAN AMERICANS IN THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA, AND..." ( July 12, 1999 NAACP EMERGENCY RESOLUTION - ECONOMIC SANCTIONS FOR SOUTH CAROLINA). (BOYCOTT)
The Confederate flag in its present position makes a statement of public policy that continues to be an affront to the sensibilities and dignity of a majority of African Americans makes a statement only in the minds of those that are racist themselves, and ignorant of the facts of history. *Additionally, the "majority of African Americans" do not feel as the NAACP would propose, as indicated by the vote in Mississippi, where black and white voted together to keep their flag. But the vote also told the NAACP their racist allegations are not wanted in Mississippi.
"WHEREAS, THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA POSSESSES A UNIQUE LINKAGE OF HERITAGE AND FAMILY WHICH MAKES SOUTH CAROLINA A PRIME DESTINATION FOR AFRICAN AMERICAN FAMILY REUNIONS, RESULTING IN TOURISM DOLLARS THAT BENEFIT THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA, AN ESTIMATED SIXTY-EIGHT PERCENT (68%) OF ALL AFRICAN AMERICAN FAMILY REUNIONS ARE HELD IN SOUTH CAROLINA, AND ..." ( July 12, 1999 NAACP EMERGENCY RESOLUTION - ECONOMIC SANCTIONS FOR SOUTH CAROLINA). (BOYCOTT)
To claim 68% of all African American family reunions are held in South Carolina is subject to scrutiny.
THE NAACP BOYCOTT OF THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA IS HURTING SOUTH CAROLINA TOURISM, IT IS DRIVING BUSINESS AWAY, IT'S JUST TERRIBLE - AND THE CONFEDERATE FLAG HAS GOT TO GO -(PROMOTED BY SOUTH CAROLINA LIBERAL NEWS PAPERS SUCH AS "THE STATE", AND OTHER MEDIA)
It has been concluded by the South Carolina Department of Tourism, the media, and other government officials that S.C. tourism has not been hurt by the NAACP boycott. *In fact, many feel that the NAACP boycott has improved S.C. tourism by tourists that are happy to visit the state knowing the NAACP will not be in the state !!! *It should also be noted that only after the last flag fight in S.C. did the media acknowledge that the NAACP boycott had little or no effect on S.C. tourism - after they continually promoted how devastating the boycott affected S.C. tourism during the flag fight 1992 - 2000.
THE CONFEDERATE FLAG STANDS FOR RACIAL OPPRESSION, A REMINDER OF SLAVERY, AND A BELIEF IN THE CONFEDERACY. (Kevin Gray, Head of the S.C. ACLU)
The great majority of people do not feel as the NAACP or Kevin Gray toward the Confederate flag.
ALL BLACK PEOPLE HATE THE CONFEDERATE FLAG.
The NAACP claim to represent all black people, but this is simply not the case. Many black people people could care less, and or respect the Confederate flag as a symbol of their heritage as well when they realize that perhaps more blacks fought for the South than the North, and especially when some discover that their ancestor, was indeed a black Confederate soldier, such as H. K. Edgerton of Asheville NC. Mr. Edgerton was himself a prior NAACP President of Asheville NC, and departed the NAACP for their racist ramblings toward the Confederate flag, proclaiming his black Confederate ancestry as a great honor.
Here in S.C., the NAACP could not find enough people that disliked the Confederate flag to have a protest rally here.
In Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head, the NAACP bused people in from Maryland to have a presence at their rally's at these locations.
NO BLACKS FOUGHT FOR THE CONFEDERACY, OR IF THEY DID THEY WERE FORCED TO DO SO.
Many historians believe that more blacks fought for the South than the North. Many were freed blacks, and some were slaves. The reason many blacks fought for the South is because it was their home land as well being invaded by Northerners, and history tells us that many demanded to go with the "Master", as strange as that may appear by today's standards. It was a relationship between master and servant that allowed the black slave masters to stay at home with the family of the soldier that went to war.
THE CONFEDERATE FLAG IS AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FACTOR FOR BUSINESS IN THE STATE, AND SHOULD NOT FLY AT THE S.C. STATE HOUSE.
Covered above in the NAACP Resolutions
THE CONFEDERATE FLAG IS NOT A SOVEREIGN FLAG OF THE UNITED STATES, AND SHOULD NOT FLY AT THE STATE HOUSE.
Covered above in the NAACP Resolutions
THE CONFEDERATE FLAG IS NOT A SOVEREIGN FLAG OF THE UNITED STATES, AND SHOULD BE PLACED IN A MUSEUM.
If the NAACP wants the Confederate flag placed in a museum, they should buy one a put it in the museum, and leave the one on State House grounds alone !!!.
THE CONFEDERATE FLAG IS A HISTORICAL FLAG AND SHOULD BE PLACED IN A MUSEUM.
No, it should not be placed in a museum because the NAACP will attempt to then shut the museum down as they did in Louisianna.
The flag came off the dome in the spirit of compromise. If the NAACP is not going to honor the flag, it can go back on the dome where it was before the compromise that they now dishonor.
However, the flag is a historical symbol, and the S.C. State flag contains other historical symbols such as the crest and palm tree from the revolutionary period - which is all the more reason THE CONFEDERATE FLAG SHOULD BE INCORPORATED IN THE S.C. STATE FLAG.
MY TAX $ ARE USED TO FLY THE FLAG AT THE S.C. STATE HOUSE, AND I DON'T LIKE THAT.
There aren't very many people that like the way the government spends their tax money - and unfortunately there isn't much that can be done about that. Perhaps there are those that don't cotton to the 30 days of Black History Month every year at the exclusion of all other races. And if there was ever a story to be told, it would be that of the Native American Indian.
HATE GROUPS HAVE USED THE CONFEDERATE FLAG AND IT SHOULD NOT BE FLY AT THE STATE HOUSE.
Covered above in the NAACP Resolutions.
THE CONFEDERATE FLAG WAS BORN OUT OF A RING OF FIRE IN HATRED AGAINST BLACK PEOPLE.
This is so ignorant, the statement warrants no comment.
* WHY ALLOW THE PEOPLE TO VOTE ON WHERE THE CONFEDERATE FLAG FLIES AT THE S.C. STATE HOUSE?
The people in the State of South Carolina and Georgia were denied a vote on the issue of where their Confederate flag flies at the S.C. State House by the legislators, and heritage organizations that did not represent the wishes of "The People". In Mississippi, the people were allowed to vote, and black and white peoples voted together to keep their flag as a symbol of their Rich history, against the obnoxious demands of the NAACP, promoted by the media, claiming the NAACP represents all black peoples - which they do not. There are many good black peoples that view the NAACP as an extremely racist organization as evidenced in the NAACP Resolutions; and feel the NAACP attacks against the Confederate flag is an injustice.
